The theatrical performance “3 Kriezotou Street”
From the Silence of the Display Case to Living Theatrical Voices
Benaki Museum – The Ghika Gallery – National Theatre Of Greece
The house of artist Nico Hadjikyriakos-Ghika opens its doors to welcome writers of the interwar period in a unique meeting, a festive evening with poems and other texts that still inspire and move us.
March 9th 1963: In the house of Georgios Theotokas, twelve leading representatives of Greek letters sign a blank white page, beneath the heading “The Generation of the 1930s after 33 Years”. How did the said generation come about? Why do the writers who first appeared in the 1930s feel the need to redefine themselves thirty years later?
